Rubber Band Ligation in Haemorrhoids

Plastic banding with haemorrhoids is a method of cutting off blood flow by placing small plastic bands at the base of the hemorrhoidal pouch. This method of treatment applies only to internal haemorrhoids.

For this procedure, an anoscope or rectoscope is inserted into the anus and hemorrhoidal pouches are displayed. A plastic band is placed at the base of the haemorrhoids and blood supply is created in the hemorrhoidal pouch, so that the pouch becomes smaller and narrower. It is poured in about 1 week and 10 days.
